Loop Terms & Conditions
Updated 17th April 2025
Loop
Loop is a browser-based, home-built data collation platform which records and reports on quantitative data (hereafter, “anonymised data”) as it is entered by Loop users. The anonymised data relates to ministry activities undertaken by network churches who are invited, and choose, to use Loop. Data collection in Loop covers the following ministry areas:
- Service attendance
- Service online views
- Alpha attendance
- Monthly giving & income
- Social outreach
- Small group attendance
- Volunteer participation
- Kids, youth & students
Loop is located at https://loop.revitalisetrust.org/
Active users of Loop will set up a Loop Church Administrator account. Individual users registering and administrating their network church’s account will consent to providing their forename/s, surname, and workplace email address. This personal data will never be shared with other network churches and will not be accessible or viewable to other network churches.
Listen
Listen is a simple digital tool provided within Loop, which allows Loop users to run a congregational survey to ascertain what God might be saying to and through their congregations, giving Loop users the opportunity to listen and respond to their congregations in a straightforward and time-efficient manner. Some of the survey questions are pre-set, but Loop users can add their own customised questions and allow free text responses. Loop is not designed to process the personal data of survey respondents and to preserve the anonymity of the survey, you must advise congregation members not to include personal data in their free text responses. For more detail and guidance on the Listen tool, please contact impact@revitalisetrust.org.
Love Your Neighbour
The Love Your Neighbour (LYN) tool within Loop provides users with anonymised aggregated data demonstrating the impact of their social transformation activities, including measures of beneficiaries, volunteers and key activities.
Ownership and Licensing
Loop, including Listen and the LYN tool, are owned and provided by Revitalise Trust (the working name of Church Revitalisation Trust) free of charge. Their use is governed by the terms set out in the licence agreement below.
Aims
The Revitalise Trust Impact Team will gather anonymised data provided by network churches with the aim of: (i) measuring the impact of activities taking place across the network, (ii) providing Revitalise Trust with a national picture of the health of network churches, with a view to support said churches in areas where they are struggling, and (iii) enabling Revitalise Trust and network churches to gather anonymised data for necessary parties, e.g., prospective donors and supporters, Church Commissioners, and the Annual Parish Return.
As the anonymised data is quantitative in nature the individuals who submit it are not identifiable. Loop users should be aware that this non-identifiable, anonymised data might be used by their church(es) and/or Revitalise Trust to inform PCC meetings and/or the Annual Parish Return.
In addition, Revitalise Trust may access the results of any congregational survey run using via Listen, and may share the anonymous survey results with the Church of England and other stakeholders (i.e., board members and donors) for fundraising and learning purposes. Responses to Loop Users’ customised questions will not be used for this purpose.
Confidentiality
Data submitted by Loop users, and the results of any congregational surveys they run via Listen, will not be accessible or viewable to Church Administrators employed by other network churches.
